“Baroque in Singapore” is a series of quarterly baroque concerts that will take you on a musical journey through the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The program includes a variety of styles and origins, ranging from Spanish Baroque discovered in Bolivian missions, to German sacred music and English 17th century dancing songs. You will get the rare opportunity to hear some of Europe’s most outstanding baroque ensembles and orchestras perform in the magnificent Esplanade Concert Hall. Some of these performers are known for their historical accuracy, others are known for giving somewhat of a modern twist to the historical repertoire; giving both purists as well as adventurers the chance to indulge themselves in timeless music.
